Manizales Day Tour from PEREIRA

Just over an hour's drive from Pereira, you will find Manizales, The Capital of Affection. Your tour will start in Pereira, where you’ll be collected in the early morning from your accommodation and driven in our comfortable vehicle through the mountainside to the capital of the department (state) of Caldas; the city of Manizales.

On the way there our path will capture some stunning views of the sunrise in the direction of your initial gastronomic sensory experience.

On arrival to this city located in the Andean mountains, you will go straight to the grand Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Rosary also known simply as the Manizales Cathedral. Here you will begin a tour through this great Catholic cathedral, which is among the tallest in Colombia. You’ll marvel at its one-of-a-kind blend of Colombian, French, and Italian architecture; hence, revealing its majesty.

Next, you will learn the history of the monuments within the plaza (main square) and of the first buildings which were constructed on every side.

After lunch, you will continue your tour of discovery and traverse through a park that highlights the history of the colonization through its monuments. Following this, you'll cross to a simply amazing lookout, which is the best place to enjoy the fabulous views of this mountains region.

Lastly, your adventure finishes in a similar way to how it began, but this time with pleasing views capturing a wonderful sunset.
