Cartagena Birding Experience

Discover the natural wonders of Colombia’s Caribbean coast on a private bird-watching tour with your own expert guide. Begin your adventure with early morning pickup from your hotel and head to a nearby nature reserve, where you’ll spot a variety of native and exotic bird species. Along the way, enjoy a traditional Colombian breakfast.

The tour starts early (5:00AM) to catch the birds during their most active hours, just after sunrise. Travel approximately 45 minutes outside the city to a reserve that features both tropical and gallery forests, offering the ideal habitat for birdwatching.

Keep your eyes peeled for species such as pygmy owls, squirrel cuckoos, and rufous-tailed jacamars. You may also encounter colorful hummingbirds, tanagers, flycatchers, and wrens.

At 9:00 AM, take a break to savor a traditional breakfast, then continue exploring the reserve until noon, when you'll be returned to your hotel. After the tour, your guide will send you a collection of photos from your birding experience to remember your adventure.
