You’ll start your day early with a 7am pickup from your Medellín hotel. The goal of course is to maximize your time in the amazing 250-hectare tropical forest of the Reserva Natural Cañón del Río Claro El Refugio. Depending on traffic you’ll be enjoying the beautiful and forever changing scenery for 3-4 hours before arriving at your magical destination.

Once here you’ll enjoy a bit of spare time, along with your choice of either:

Rafting with an exhilarating ride in an inflatable boat rocking the rapids, as you travel downstream this amazing river for 2.5 hours. You’ll not only enjoy the boat crashing into the waves, and sliding next to the giant rocks and cliff faces, but also the wonderful stalactites that have been created over many years.
Caving with a 3-hour expedition down underground into a fantastic cave over 400 meters long. Along the base of this cavern, you’ll be steeping through the Bornego Brook, which over the centuries actually carved out this wonderful location. You’ll be mesmerized by the giant stalactites hanging from the massive dome ceilings, as you make your way through the various naturally sculpted chambers of marble and rocks.

Following your exploration rafting or caving you’ll still have some free time to enjoy one or more of the other activities such as rock climbing, or a walk through the beautiful fauna and flora of this region.

Once you’ve had your fill of adventure for the day you’ll make your way back to Medellín relaxing and possibly taking a siesta in your comfortable private transport.
